Corgi Ju87 B2 Stuka, Lannion, AA32514, 1/72 Unbeknownst to me, I purchased this model in used condition because a seller on Ebay had vaguely listed this as new/mint. After a thorough inspection, I’ve discovered the following imperfections: – Engine cowling had been glued sometime in the past. The glue was lightly applied so I was able to take off the metal cowling with careful prying. I removed most of the glue residue to reveal the plane’s engine as it was designed to do. It looks cleaner and better. – The tail gear was broken. Luckily, the peg-end was only separated from the socket so I simply applied a small blot of glue to repair. Pictured. – The small step on one side of the plane is partially broken. Unable to repair since the very small piece had been gone. Pictured and circled. – This model DOES NOT come with a stand or base. For this Corgi Stuka model, the stand is typically steel and base is the older design as being clear and round. These accessories did not come with this boxset. – For this era of Corgi Stukas, they originally came with a plastic buffer that’s supposed to be wedged behind the tail. This is to keep the plane snug inside its box. This boxset did not come with this buffer piece so I used a thickly rolled cardboard paper to act as a wedge for protection. Pictured. There is no looseness with this model when stored in its box. I’m not the first owner but I repaired and cleaned the model as good as I can get it.
